Many clients come to our office for estate planning services to discuss concerns about planning for potential incapacity as well as planning for smooth and effective management of their assets in the event of their death.  Clients may also be concerned about asset protection planning, either for themselves or for their beneficiaries.  Our process involves assisting clients in crafting an individualized plan that sets forth the disposition of their estate based on the client’s individual wishes, all while considering the unique family or business dynamics and the potential estate and income tax consequences that may occur as a result of these factors.  Existing estate plans should be reviewed approximately every three to five years to ensure the plan is still working as anticipated and should be updated to accommodate any changes in the clients’ personal situation or any legal, estate, or gift tax changes that have occurred since the creation of the plan.
